Label PrintingThe problem we solveHaving POMS MES installed, you most likely have either Loftware or Bartender label software as well. And you most likely became very handy in designing labels. However when it came to link a datafield on your label with the real data...If you are using an older MES version you probably have an abf function for each label type printed. With a newer MES version you have a limited set of abf's but an enormous amount of database tables to populate. The underlying problem however is still that the data is sent using a technique with which the data must be arranged in the exact sequence the fields on your label template are defined. The solution we provideBoth Loftware and Bartender have different techniques to interface the label printing process. Techniques that don't need to concatenate the data in the exact sequence of label definitions in the template. We provide one (1) abf per label class. A class is for instance 'container'. Each container you print is using the same function. Which label template to use depends on an extra field in the container class database table. In this particular example we query all possible information a container can have and put it all on the interface, whether you use the data or not. When you design your label template you only have to select datafields out of the list of datafields provided. If you want to change your template, such as removing or adding a field, there is no other job to do then just modifying the template. Your benefits
